Roaming charges scrapped from 15 June

30th May 2017

Back in 2015, we told you that the European Parliament had agreed to scrap EU roaming charges. As of 15 June, you will pay the same price for calls, texts and mobile data wherever you are travelling in the EU. In other words, the text, call and data allowances included in your monthly contract at home will be usable anywhere in the EU at no extra charge. You can quite simply ‘Roam like home’.

All 3 major networks (O2, Vodafone and EE ) have confirmed customers can take their UK plan to Europe with them. O2 and EE customers to 47 European destinations excluding Turkey and Vodafone users to 40 different EU countries. So remember, 15 June is the date.
