8020 Ltd have forged a new alliance with Russell Telecom, a business telephone systems and fixed line specialist, to develop markets throughout the North of England and Scotland.
The partnership, which is called Russell 8020, will hit the ground running after being selected as the preferred telecoms partner for the UK’s largest regional chamber of commerce. Russell 8020 fought off fierce competition to be named the preferred supplier for the North East Chamber of Commerce’s 4,500 member companies. The five-year contract will see the pair providing a personalised, member-driven offer to NECC’s members at preferential rates on the full range of telecommunications.
Andrew Edgar, managing director of 8020, said: “We are both very service oriented businesses. Telecoms is a very aggressive market place and businesses are inundated with cold calls from prospective suppliers, I guess the challenge is knowing who to trust. At Russell 8020 we share our knowledge of technologies, key suppliers, tariffs & products ensuring clients get the best value for money not only at the outset but for the lifetime of our relationship. Fixed and mobile technology coming together can bring some real benefits for businesses. Russell’s 25 years experience means they know pretty much everything about fixed, I have spent the last 18 years in the mobile industry so together we can offer some real in-depth expertise. We are very excited by it.”
Russell Telecom director Lawrence McCaughey said: “The NECC contract is an early vindication of the power of this alliance. Both companies are ambitious to expand and we have already begun introducing each other to our respective client bases.”
